I also must thank Miss Moon, Mrs Knowles and Miss Bowers for their efforts in creating a superb TT Rockstars display located in the Hall. We will be able to track battles and the fastest players across the school and in each class from Year 1 – Year 6.
PE AMBASSADORS:
Congratulations to Amira, Hunni, Georgey and Barney who are my first ever Parkside PE Ambassadors. Their role will be to support me in the observing and improving of PE across the school. They will join me for learning walks, they will speak to children regrading their lessons and they will ensure all our equipment is fit for purpose as well as offer suggestions as to what we can do to improve PE.
Girls commitment to Football:
This week members of our Girls’ football team – Christabel, Hunni, Amira, and Alexus shared a presentation with me all about how we can improve the provision of football for girls Their arguments were very persuasive and I do understand the need to provide more opportunities for them. Therefore, with the support of Miss Bowers, we will now run a lunch time training session for our girls after half term every Friday and I have also entered the girls into a whole day tournament on the 27 th February 2024 which will be held at Watford FC’s training ground – The Dome!
Girls, thank you for your dedication and effort to create and share this presentation in your own time, we are a school that takes equal opportunities very seriously and we hope you will see the benefits of your hard work on football for girls at Parkside.

Song of the Weekend: Extraordinary by Natalie Williams
Whether it’s being a musician, an athlete, an accountant, a teacher, a shop keeper or a stay-at-home parent. The people that give it that little bit extra will always stand out! So, let’s teach our children and the future generations to think BIG, be CONFIDENT and be EXTRAORDINARY in whatever they want to achieve!
Have a lovely weekend.
