Meet our nursery team and find out how we work together and with your children to give them the best learning opportunities. Year 1 Curriculum
Year 1 is a very important year for your child, as they are beginning their journey into Key Stage 1. We ensure that children have lots of practical learning opportunities to allow for them to have a smooth transition from Early Years. We continue to build on the phonics from Reception, encouraging children to write sentences and stories.
Children begin to expand their mathematical knowledge by learning number bonds, exploring patterns and furthering their vocabulary. Year 1 is crucial to ensuring children have a great start to their KS1 learning.
