Summer Reading Challenge

July 4, 2025/in General News/by Mark Pedrasa

Today we welcomed Josh and Sarah from Borehamwood Library to tell us all about this year’s Summer Reading Challenge, starting Saturday 5th July!

The theme is “Story Garden” — join characters Robyn, Priya, Rhys, Jake, Jess, and Jamal as you explore books about inspirational people, graphic novels, comics, or even fact books.

Did you know the library has over 12,000 books? You can borrow up to 30 at a time! To complete the challenge and earn a certificate and medal, all you need to do is read 6 books.

Don’t have a library card yet? Pop down to Borehamwood Library and the lovely team will help you sign up.

A huge thank you to Sarah and Josh for taking the time to share this fantastic challenge with us!

It’s a brilliant way to keep your reading skills sharp and have fun during the summer holidays — don’t miss out!
