Sport report from Phillip in Year 4
Today was the best day of my life! I’ll tell you why…It was because I went to an Athletics competition at Yavneh College. It was a really proud moment for me to be included and it was great to walk together as a team from Parkside with Miss Bowers, Mr Honour and Mr Wanless.
The morning consisted of track events: relay and obstacle races along and Field events: Javelin, chest push, long jump, 5 strides and speed jump.
We competed against a number of schools from around Hertfordshire, 7 in total and managed to finish in 6th place but the most important thing for us was that we competed as a team and gave each other lots of positive support even when we were not winning events.
I thoroughly enjoyed the morning and I can’t wait to represent Parkside again in other sports.
Thank you to Miss Bowers, Mr Honour and Mr Wanless for your encouragement and support, Miss Bowers especially was crucial in knowing which events we were taking part in and when each one was.
