Year 6 Online Learning 18.1.21

Good Morning everyone, I hope you have had a lovely weekend.  We were delighted to see so many children accessing Google Classroom last week. Here are your online tasks for today.  All the tasks have also been set on Google Classroom.  On Google Classroom you can ‘hand in’ your work directly to your teacher to mark.   The teacher will send you a comment and give you a mark out of 3.  This is similar to our tick system in school.

PE: I am enjoying having Joe Wicks back, nice to get up and start moving in the morning. Here is the link to his YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/thebodycoach1

Maths: Our focus is now on reviewing our understanding Percentages. Here is the link for the teaching clip: https://vimeo.com/492101741

Below I have attached the worksheet and answers:

Literacy: – Today is the start of our new unit: Sherlock Holmes, where we will be using the teaching clips from Oak Academy. In this lesson, we will begin learning about life in Victorian London during the Victorian era. We will also begin generating descriptive vocabulary using images from this time period.

Guided Reading: A double session of our new book: Film Seen https://www.purplemash.com/#tab/pm-home/serialmash/serialmash_saphires/film_seen which will be added to your 2do page on Purple Mash.

Fun Art: Linking with our new literacy topic Sherlock Holmes, this short video will show you how to draw a cartoon version of the man himself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L7AuQnh8le4.

Have a great day,
