Happy Friday Year 6!

PE: Tune in to Joe Wicks at 9am on his YouTube channel for his daily workout or make up your own exercise video and get your family to join in with your moves!

English: We are going to continue to do some work around the film ‘The Present’.

Watch the film here:

Is it right to give a pet as a present to someone?

Think carefully about your answer to this question.  Write a short paragraph sharing your views and justifying your opinions.  Think about the campaigns animal charities have around Christmas – ‘A dog is for life and not just for Christmas’ – do you agree with this message? Was the boy’s mother in this clip right or wrong to give him the puppy as a present? Why?

Reading: Read chapters 5 and 6 of ‘Nightfall on the Somme’ then answer the multiple-choice questions.  Both have been set as a 2Do.

Maths: Today we would like to try and complete this maths mystery.  Once you complete each puzzle, it will give you a clue which will eliminate half the locations of the buried treasure.   Solve all the puzzles to work out where the buried treasure is.

The Mystery of the Missing Pirate Treasure

Whole School Fun Friday Challenge: Today we are setting a ‘Bake Off’ challenge.  We would like you to get creative and do some baking.  You can choose whether you bake something savoury or sweet.  Remember to take photographs of the mouth-watering treats you produce.

Have a lovely weekend.
