Year 6 21.5.20

Good Morning everyone, hope you are all well, not long now till half term. I am in school today, so I am planning to phone as many of you as possible to see how you are.

Maths: Coordinates and shapes: To illustrate and name parts of a circle

In today’s lesson, you will identify the properties of a circle, name the parts and find out about the relationships between the parts.

Literacy: Diary Entry lesson 4: Informal language

In this lesson, we will be looking at informal language and when it is appropriate to use it.

Music: I thought.. what are we missing from our home learning? and then I realised what it is… it’s singing!

Take a look and have a go, I might even try to get my singing voice out too 🙂

Reading: The final chapter, well done everyone.

  1. Read Chapter 9
  2. Answer online multiple choice questions
  3. At first, people didn’t believe the events that happened to Sigi when he arrived in England. Write about a time when you haven’t been believed.

Mental Health Awareness week: For your next task related to this important week, I thought we could focus on ‘Giving’

The definition of ‘GIVE’ is: Carrying out acts of kindness, whether small or large, can increase happiness, life satisfaction and general sense of wellbeing.

So… what can you do today?

  1. Can you complete/help your parent or guardian with an outdoor household chore?
  2. Can you help someone in your family learn a new skill?
  3. Can you give up some of your time to share with someone in your family?

Art Fun: See how many of these drawing tricks you can have a go at, all you need is your hand and some pens. These are very clever and so quick.  Enjoy!

Keep going Year 6.
