What another busy week for Year 5!
The children have been busy practising their spellings everyday, using different strategies and they have been using alliteration to write some very amusing poems! They were asked to predict what they thought was going to happened next in the book we have been reading with some very interesting results! There has been lots of great work in Maths too – the children have been learning about multiplying and dividing but they found the time to do some arty inspired maths. Can you spot the number hidden in the portrait?
Year 5 even travelled to the Himalayas and climbed to the summit of Mount Everest and to remember the event, they wrote a letter or a postcard to someone back home. They even had time to create a sketch in the style of a Benin Plaque for Art this week and create a memory jar!
Here are some examples of the great learning the children have sent us.
Have a lovely weekend!
