Phew, what another couple of busy weeks for Year 5!
The children have been busy practising their spellings everyday, using different strategies. Year 5 have continued to learn about mountain ranges and travelled to the Americas and wrote a fact file about either The Andes or The Rockies. They continued their great work in Art by creating sculptures in the style of the Benin Art, with some impressive results.
The children created some fantastic poems, focused on using descriptive language and built and tested a parachute in Science. Also, in the theme of International Family Day, the children created a family tree. Some children even managed to find a dinosaur species for each letter of the alphabet!
Here are some examples of the great learning the children have sent us:
Have a lovely weekend and half term!
