Spellings:

All of your spellings this week end with the suffix –ibly or –ably, making each spelling word into an adverb.

possibly, probably, responsibly, miserably, sensibly, comfortably, visibly, terribly, considerably, incredibly

Task 1 : Complete your spelling test set for you on Purple Mash today!

Maths:

For the rest of this week we are going to focus on learning about calculating area of a compound shape.

Task 1: You can choose to explore creating rectangles with different areas using the ‘explore’ button or have a go at the game. The game has different levels – you can set it as challenging or as easy as you wish. https://www.brainpop.com/games/areabuilder/

Have fun and make sure you have lots of practise calculating the areas of shapes.

Task 2: Have a go at this game to practise your skills of finding the area of a compound shape. http://www.scootle.edu.au/ec/viewing/L383/L383/index.html#

Reading:

We are going to continue reading our book today called ‘The Haunting of Rose Cottage’. We would like you to read Chapter 4 and complete the online multiple choice quiz afterwards.

Remember to look at the underlined words as you read the text. These are words you may be unfamiliar with and if you hover over the word, it will tell you its meaning.

Make sure you are completing your reading record everyday – we will check this when we’re back in school!

English:

We are going to continue our unit of work based on the book called ‘The Viewer’ this week. Today we are going to use our detective skills and find out a little bit more about what happens in the story

Task 1: Watch the video first: https://classroom.thenational.academy/lessons/to-infer-meaning-from-images-c9gk2c

Task 2: complete the task set for you as a 2Do today on Purple Mash. Good luck detectives!
