Good morning Year 5!

We hope you had a lovely weekend.Well done those of you who are completing the set activities that we assigned last week.  Remember to log in to Mathletics, Purple Mash and Times Tables Rock Stars to complete your set activities, you will find different activities assigned to you every day that are due at the end of that same day or week. Please check when each task is due and do not forget to SAVE the task once that you have completed it so we can check it.

Here are some activities for you to complete at home today.

MATHS

Please complete each challenge. You  have to complete the place value chart adding the numbers below into the chart.

 

ENGLISH

  1. Word of the day

The word of the day is ILLUMINATE.

You have to

  • Write a definition
  • Include it in a sentence
  • Word class
  • Find ANTONYMS AND SYNONYMS

2. Diary entry

You are going to write a diary entry about what you’ve done this weekend. It has been a different weekend for most of us. You need to use fronted adverbials, noun phrases, expanded noun phrases… to engage the reader.

To help you with your diary entry, you are going to use the “What’s inside my head” planning template to organise your ideas and feelings.

Once that you have brainstormed all your feelings and ideas, write the diary entry.

Complete the 2Do – What rules do you think are important and make your life better?

FRENCH

Complete the 2Do – Create an informative leaflet about Paris. Include as many words as you know in French.

PE 

Make sure you take regular work breaks! This website has 5 minute videos that you can follow to keep you active!
