Here are some activities for you to complete at home today.

You are learning words that you just need to know how to spell before leaving Year 5!

Group 2 and 3:
This week you are focusing on words that all have –ible or –able ending.
terrible, possible, edible, reversible, invincible, incredible
forgivable, adorable, enjoyable, valuable, breakable, reliable
Use the pyramid strategy to practise your spelling words today.
Task 1: Are you a numeracy ninja? Use the digits on the sheet to make different decimal numbers between 1 and 10.
Task 2: We are going to continue revising some of the learning we have covered so far in Year 5. You are going to focus on fractions.

We would like you read Chapter 3, complete the online quiz and then put the events of the chapter into the correct sequence.
Task 1: Can you spot and correct all of the mistakes today?
Task 2: Write a poem that captures the change from calm to chaos. Here are some ideas: a birthday party, a sunny day broken by a storm, a volcano or a stampede of animals.
This is a 2Do today on Purple Mash. Make sure you look at each of the heading in the table as this will give you lots of ideas for how to write your poem.
Geography and ICT:
Use resources available to you at home to find 5 interesting facts about Mount Kilimanjaro and write them down. You need to be able to turn these facts into a question.
Then, using 2quiz on Purple Mash, create a multiple choice quiz using your 5 facts.
For example, my question could be: Mount Kilimanjaro is in Europe. True or false?
