Hello Year 5, it’s the middle of the week already! Here are some activities for you to complete at home today.
Morning Challenge:

Spellings:
Group1:
courageous, mountainous, spacious, dangerous, various, famous, glorious, furious, envious, poisonous, mountainous
Group 2 and 3:
dictionary, existence, especially, neighbour, average, conscience, vehicle, shoulder, relevant, twelfth
Write each word in your spelling list using 2 different colours. Write the consonants in one colour and the vowels in another colour. Use this sheet to complete your spelling task today.
Maths:
Task 1: Can you add 2 three digit numbers together? This is a 2Do for you today on Purple Mash.
Task 2: You are going to continue to learn about fractions and decimals this week. Today you are going to focus rounding decimals

Reading:
Continue to read our book this week is called ‘The Great Marvello’ and today, we would like you to read Chapter 7 and complete the multiple choice quiz afterwards. This has been set as a 2Do on Purple Mash.
English:
Task 1: Answer the questions about the image called ‘The Forbidden Tower’ and then continue the story.
Something fun!
We are going to set you another project for the week, focused around the theme of ‘jungle’.
Have a go at creating a collage of the jungle. This can be on a piece of paper or 3D! You can paint, draw, use coloured paper; the possibilities are endless!
Here are some ideas:
Think about the animals that could be in the collage (link this to your research from last week), the type of plants, trees and flowers that you would find in the jungle.
Keep in touch – remember any work you have completed can be emailed to us to be marked. This can be typed work or a photo.
