Good morning everyone,

It was so lovely to see all the fantastic work you have been doing at home! Please continue sending it in, as we love to see it.

Here are your tasks for today:

Spellings for this week: Words with –cial and –tial endings.

official, facial, crucial, special, artificial, social, essential, partial, confidential, residential

Can you write each word using rainbow writing (each letter in a different colour)

Today we are going to continue to revise multiplication.

Task 1:  Today we would like you to practise multiplying a 4-digit number by a 1-digit number, for example 3425 x 3.

Watch this video first:

Then have a go at answering these questions.

Continue to read our book this week is called ‘The Great Marvello’ and today, we would like you to read Chapter 3 and complete the multiple choice quiz afterwards. This has been set as a 2Do on Purple Mash.

Remember to look at the underlined words as you read the text. These are words you may be unfamiliar with and if you hover over the word, it will tell you its meaning.

Make sure you are completing your reading record everyday – we will check this when we’re back in school!

We have chosen and image from our book, Journey. Using the 5 different senses (see, smell, touch, taste, hear) can you write a list of expanded nouns phrases to describe this image?

Make sure you use the success criteria and examples on the word document to help you. You can complete the task on the document or print it out and send us a photo of the completed work. It is also been set as a 2Do on Purple Mash, if you wish to complete it online.

Thurs Expanded Noun Phrases

This term you are going to be learning about the Jewish festival of Purim.

We would like you to research as many facts as possible about this festival. Once you have done this, have a go at creating a poster describing the main features of the festival.
