Hello Year 5, it’s the middle of the week already!

We would like you to complete lesson 3 for Summer Term Week 3 – divide with remainders. Watch the clip about this learning then answer the questions in the activity section.

 

The answers are also available so you can check your work once you have completed it – no peeking before you have completed the questions!

 

Reading:

You are going to continue reading Ted and the Flying Fruits. We would like you to read Chapter 3 and complete the multiple choice quiz afterwards. This has been set as a 2Do on Purple Mash.

Remember to look at the underlined words as you read the text. These are words you may be unfamiliar with and if you hover over the word, it will tell you its meaning.

 

English:

Task 1: Can you find all of the ‘Kangaroo words’? A kangaroo word is a word that contain the letters of another words that means the same, and you cannot change the order of the letters. For example, the word ‘gigantic’ contains the word ‘giant – GIGANTIC’
