Task 2: You are going to continue to learn about fractions this week. Today you are going to focus on adding mixed numbers. .

We would like you to answer the following questions about Chapter 1 of the book, The Great Marvello. The Great Marvello Questions Chpt 1


Task 1: Can you complete these 3 quick punctuation and grammar tasks? Tues starter

Task 2: Have a go at writing a Blurb. Imagine that the video of The Black Hat is going to be made into a thought-provoking picture book. Write a detailed blurb for the back of the book. Your blurb should make children of your own age excited about reading it!

Think about:

  • Make the reader want to know what happens in the story by only telling them snippets of the story. (Leave them with lots of questions in their minds)
  • Give the reader an idea about themes in the story, making these sounds exciting!
  • Choosing your language carefully so that you are concise and to the point!


This term you are going to be learning about the Americas – North and South America. Today we would like you to have a go at identifying different countries of North and South America.  You can use an atlas or the internet to help you.
