Year 5 Assembly – The Birth of Rome and The Rise of Ceasar

On Friday morning we were treated to a fantastic assembly by the children from year 5 . They shared their learning with the school community plus a large number of parents and carers about the birth of possibly the greatest ancient civilisation in history – THE ROMANS. We learnt about how the myth of Romulus and Remus gave birth to the city from the banks of the Tiber, right through to the period of peace that lasted in the empire for just over 200 years – PAX ROMANA. It was a full scale assembly which involved everyone including staff. Thank you children for sharing your new found knowledge and understanding about your history topic.
