Good morning everyone,
It was so lovely to see all the fantastic work you have been doing at home! Please continue sending it in as I love to see it.
Please continue to keep in touch with me via my email below. Send through any work that your child has completed as well as any questions or support you may need. I will have access to my emails throughout the typical school day.
Also, remember to keep yourself active throughout the day and take some well-deserved brain breaks!
See below for the tasks I would like your child to complete today:
Home Learning for Friday 8th January 2021:
Complete LESSON FOUR – EFFICENT MULTIPLICATION on White Rose (Week 1) – Spr4.1.4 – Efficient multiplication on Vimeo
You will see that there is a short video that you can watch with your child and an activity to download and complete (I will also attach a downloaded version below):
Please email the completed work to me.
Extra: practice your times-tables speed with the 2do set on Purple Mash.
This will be our fourth lesson on Journey by Aaron Becker.
Task One – go through the PowerPoint attached below. Read it carefully and discuss with a person at home. There is an example of how to complete the task on the PowerPoint.
Task Two – draw a story map of you going through the magic door. What location would you first appear in? What mode of transport would you draw first? Where would it take you? What mode of transport would you draw to get home?
Task Three – use your story map to write a short story of your own adventure through the magic door. Use all the thinks you have learnt in the Autumn term as I would like to see what you can do.
Reread Chapter 1 of The Knockers which is set to read on Purple Mash.
Task One – complete the task set on Purple Mash (pretend you are Drake. Write a letter to one of your friends from the city. Tell them about your new life in Cornwall).
Remember to read your own book everyday (reading helps us develop fantastic language for our own writing!)
Here are the two spelling lists for this week (make sure you continue to learn the spellings of ONE list):
NB: on Friday, test your child on how they have done with learning to spell these words.
Task One – have one last practice of your spelling words!
Task Two – test your child on their spelling list that they have chosen. How many did they get right? Which spelling words will they need to continue practicing next week?
We are learning all about Sikhism this half term.
RE through the PDF that is attached below and complete the small task on the last page:
Task One – think about yourself and where you belong. List the groups/religions you below to. Would we be able to assume you belong to these groups by what you wear? Why/Why not?
It is so important to keep your body moving especially since most of us are spending a lot of time inside at the moment! Use this GoNoodle video to get yourself moving and to wind down for the weekend:
I hope you have a wonderful day and are keeping safe.
