Good morning everyone,
It was so lovely to see all the fantastic work you have been doing at home! Please continue sending it in as I love to see it.
Please continue to keep in touch with me via my email below. Send through any work that your child has completed as well as any questions or support you may need. I will have access to my emails throughout the typical school day.
Also, remember to keep yourself active throughout the day and take some well-deserved brain breaks!
See below for the tasks I would like your child to complete today:
Home Learning for Thursday 7th January 2021:
Complete LESSON THREE – FACTOR PAIRS on White Rose (Week 1) – Spr4.1.3 – Factor pairs on Vimeo
You will see that there is a short video that you can watch with your child and an activity to download and complete (I will also attach a downloaded version below):
Please email the completed work to me.
Extra: practice your times-tables speed with the 2do set on Purple Mash.
This will be our third lesson on Journey by Aaron Becker.
Task One – go through the PowerPoint attached below. Read it carefully and discuss with a person at home. There is an example of how to complete the task on the PowerPoint (look out for the audio symbol to hear me retelling the story of the pictures in the PowerPoint).
Task Two – choose TWO of your favourite pictures from yesterdays task and verbally retell the story. Instructions on how to do this is on the PowerPoint above.
Reread Chapter 1 of The Knockers which is set to read on Purple Mash.
Task One – complete the SPAG activity that is attached below:
Remember to read your own book everyday (reading helps us develop fantastic language for our own writing!)
Here are the two spelling lists for this week (make sure you continue to learn the spellings of ONE list):
NB: on Friday, test your child on how they have done with learning to spell these words.
Task One – practice spelling your list by doing rainbow words (this could be done on paper at home).
Task Two – write 8 sentences using the words from your chosen list. You can use as many of the words as you like but you must have 8 sentences.
This is the third lesson of our Geography Unit: Rivers.
Go through the PDF that is attached below (this is the SMART that we would have gone through in class):
Any questions that you come across you could write down some answers or discuss them with someone at home. Make sure that you continue to read over the Knowledge Organiser every lesson.
Task One – label the River Nile and the River Niger on the Map of Africa attached below. Use Google Maps to help you if you need it. Attached below is also a close-up version of each river that might be helpful.
Task Two – list THREE facts about each river. You could do this by conducting your own research or by using the research attached below:
I hope you have a wonderful day and are keeping safe.
