Year 4 – Home Learning 29/1/21

Good morning everyone,

It was so lovely to see all the fantastic work you have been doing at home! Please continue sending it in as I love to see it. Remember, many of the tasks have been set as 2 dos on Purple Mash.

Please continue to keep in touch with me via my email below. Send through any work that your child has completed as well as any questions or support you may need. I will have access to my emails throughout the typical school day.

NB: on Friday, your child will be tested on their spelling through a test set up on Purple Mash.

Task One – have one last practice of your spelling words!

Task Two – complete the spelling test that has been set on Purple Mash (make sure that you choose the correct test for the list that you have been learning).

History:

This is the sixth and last lesson of our History Unit: Ancient Greece.

Go through the PDF that is attached below (this is the SMART that we would have gone through in class):

History Lesson 6

Any questions that you come across you could write down some answers or discuss them with someone at home. Make sure that you continue to read over the Knowledge Organiser every lesson.

Task One – complete the end of unit quiz set on Purple Mash.

Task Two – On Purple Mash there is a 2do set for you to write an extended answer to the following question (you will need to write at least 8 sentences):

Where would you want to live if you were an Ancient Greek and why?

You will need to include:

  1. An introduction to Ancient Greece and the city-states.
  2. Two separate paragraphs on two chosen city-states, explaining key information about the city-state (e.g. Athens and Sparta).
  3. A conclusion explaining where they would choose to live and why.

This has all been set up ready for you to complete on Purple Mash (if you can’t complete on Purple Mash then please write on some paper at home and email to me).

I hope you have a wonderful day and are keeping safe.
