Reading:

Reread Chapter 6 of A Sheep Dip to India which is available to read on Purple Mash.

Now that we have seen William react in a range of situations, create a character profile about her. Remember to use evidence from the story to support your opinions. This has been set as a 2do on Purple Mash.

Remember to read your own book everyday (reading helps us develop fantastic language for our own writing!)

Spelling:

These are going to be your spelling words to learn this week:

Awkwardly, frantically, curiously, obediently, carefully, rapidly, unexpectedly, deliberately, hurriedly, reluctantly

NB: On Friday, test your child on how they have done with learning to spell these words.

Task One – have one last go at practicing your words before you are tested. You could do this by doing Rainbow words or Pyramid words.

Task Two – assess your child on the spelling words for this week. For the spelling test you could read the word, then say the word in a sentence and finally repeat the word one last time.

Friday Fun Challenge:

Today is Bee Awareness Day! Bees are very important is helping the world go round.

Your tasks:

  • Make a bee from a toilet roll (there is an image below to help you).
