Good Morning, Year 3!

English

Imagine you work up and the world had turned red! Write a short diary entry as if everything in your world is red. To help structure your work, try to answer these questions within your entry.

How might you feel?

What might you do first?

Which things would stay red?

Which things were you shocked to see now that they are red?

Maths

Today we are going to continue to look at cm by measuring objects in our homes.

Choose 6 objects which you will be able to measure. If you want an added challenge, try to choose objects where you will need to use the ruler more than once.

Write the name of each object and its measurements.

Art / DT

One of the most famous structures which started being constructed over 100 years ago and is still being built is the Basílica de la Sagrada Família  (a cathedral in Spain).

Gaudi's Sagrada Família enters final stage of construction You can see by the other buildings around it how large it is and the detail on it makes it a very impressive building.

Research the Sagrada Família and answer these questions:

  1. What year did construction start?
  2. How many years has it been in construction?
  3. Who is the famous architect who designed it?
  4. In which capital city would you find it?
  5. How tall is the tallest point?

History

Today I want you to find out a little more information on the day to day life of the Vikings.

Go to this website to do some research on how the Vikings lived: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/ztyr9j6/articles/ztqbr82

Your task is to then create a poster with facts you have found out clearly displayed. Include some labelled pictures and bright colours to make it eye-catching.
