Maths

When we look at time across the day, it is separated into AM and PM.  AM is 12am (midnight) until 11.59 am(around lunchtime) and PM is from 12pm (around lunchtime) until 11.59(midnight). There are 24 hours in a day, 12 in each section of the day.

Use this information to answer the following questions, I have done the first one for you.

1) How many hours have past between the two times?

e.g) 2.00pm  to   4.00pm      =   2 hours

a) 3.00pm to 10.00pm        =

b) 12.00pm to 9pm        =

c) 3.30pm to 11.30pm   =

2) Work out what the time will be:

e.g) I started running at 1.30pm and I run for 30 minutes   =   2.00pm

a) I start my maths lesson at 10.45am, it lasts one hour =

b) I start watching a film at 6.00pm, it is 1 hour and 30 minutes long =

c) I look at the time and it is 11.15am, lunch is in one hour =

Science

Fossils are mainly found by the seaside as the ocean washes up fossils which have come out from the seabed or because the water has eroded rocks and sand to reveal fossils on the beach. Watch the video on this website: https://www.stem.org.uk/resources/elibrary/resource/36611/fossils

Hopefully, this will answer any questions you had from last lesson but also explain the fossil process in more depth.

Look at this picture think about where you might find fossils. If you can print it, try to draw on some fossils.

Art

As your portrait pictures were so accurate, I would like you to follow these instructions to draw a dinosaur.

https://www.twinkl.co.uk/go/resource/tgv2-t-18-how-to-draw-a-dinosaur-video-1

Remember, you can colour it in once you have the completed shape.

Take care and stay safe,

Miss Ayrton
