On Friday 31st January 2020, it was the boys turn to grace Watford FC’s training ground to take part in a football tournament consisting of 32 schools from all over Hertfordshire. Again the boys did Parkside proud and competed well against some very tough opponents. Organisation and communication were key today and Mr Honour signalled out Theo and Dylan as two players who not only listened but battled and produced some terrific displays, so I am very proud of you also.
A special mention must go to Mrs Knowles and Mr Honour for taking the boys today as without their support and help, today just could not go ahead. The opportunity the children are receiving through not only their education but through sport and competitive challenges mean that we are developing not only their active participation but their positive and healthy mindsets. To get the chance to play at a Premier League club’s training ground does not always happen and it shows just how much it meant to the boys to be able to take part in experiences like today.
Finally the boys were also treated to meeting Nathaniel Chalobah and Watford’s manager Nigel Pearson.
Well done boys and have a well deserved weekend.
Remel, Mustafa, Dylan, Theo, Leo, Callum, Elijah and Kye.
