Headteacher’s Newsletter – Thursday 20th December 2018
And so we arrive at the end of another term. The last week of the Autumn term is a very special place in schools up and down the country and this week proved to be no different. The children from Year 3 and 4 belted out renditions of a number of popular Christmas songs and carols for parents and carers on Tuesday, and Wednesday’s Christmas dinner was a great success. Children looked resplendent in their Christmas jumpers on Wednesday and over £250 was raised for Save the Children Charity. You also managed to raise £110 for the charity MIND which was collected from the retiring collections after the Christmas performances. Thank you.
Thanks must be given to all staff for helping to prepare the children over the past few weeks for the many festive events that took place. They have been a huge success. May I take this opportunity of wishing you all a happy and peaceful Christmas and a wonderful New Year.
School resumes for the Spring Term on TUESDAY 8th JANUARY 2019 at 9:00am.
The word of the week is JOY – a feeling of great pleasure and happiness. During this season of goodwill to all let us all share a little joy in to each others’ lives.
PARKING – I have received a number of complaints from local residents about the way parents and carers park when dropping off and collecting. We have a duty to park sensibly and have respect for our neighbours. Please ensure that you have consideration for everyone during these busy times of the day. Thank you.
ATTENDANCE – Congratulations to the children from Year 1 Lime Class who had the best attendance this week with 97.1%
