Headteacher’s Newsletter – Friday 8th July – Summer 10

There are only 8 school days left in the academic year and we have a lot do before then! You will receive your child’s annual report next week along with their Phonics tests result, Key Stage 1 SATs results, Multiplication Tables Check result and Keys Stage 2 SATs results if your child took a test this year. Please read the report carefully, the teachers spend a long time writing them and it takes an age to comment on every one. I must say that they make for very pleasant reading, you will be very proud of their efforts. The year 6 production on Thursday afternoon was well attended and the children were utterly amazing. My thanks must go to the year 6 team for preparing them so thoroughly. The last disco of the year takes place on Thursday next week are on sale already priced at £3 each. Please make every effort to attend, it promises to be a great event. The children will spend a day with their new teachers on Thursday morning. Transition day is an important date in the academic year because it signifies a new change for the school and helps the children to prepare for next year. Please ask them about it and discuss with them their feelings about next year and the changes that lie ahead.
