THERE WAS 1 CONFIRMED CASE OF CORONAVIRUS RECORDED OVER THE HALF TERM HOLIDAY AND NO CONFIRMED CASES THIS WEEK.
After a very long first half term of the year and much needed break school resumed once again this week. The first round of lesson observations / study were completed at the end of last term. Mrs Taylor and myself were very impressed with the overall quality of the teaching and learning that took place in all classes. The children have returned to school and are working hard to develop their knowledge and skills across a range of subjects which they are translating in to their learning. Late last term I wrote to you about submitting a request to the office of the Schools Official Adjudicator to reduce the school’s Published Admissions Number from 60 down to 30. This has now been done. We won’t know the outcome regarding the decision for a number of weeks. I will keep you all informed as and when I receive any further information. Please continue to support the school in all that we do.
BURST WATER MAIN – On the very rare occasion when we experience a crisis we will always inform you of the measures we will take to reduce any absences or difficulties you may face as a family. If you are a use of Facebook or Twitter regular posts will be uploaded onto the school’s feeds and we will update our school website as necessary. Please do everything you can to make sure that your child attends school unless otherwise instructed.
The word of the week is – PADDY-NODDY – a long and tedious story (Lincolnshire)
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE – On Monday I will write to you regarding the changes that we have had to make in light of the government’s second lockdown. An updated risk assessment will be uploaded on to the school website over the weekend. Any new changes will be highlighted in GREEN. Please be sure to read the document carefully and be familiar with its content as we continue our fight against the virus.
Many of you will still be feeling anxious and unsure about the current pandemic we continue to lvoe through. I want to reassure you all that not only have we made sure that the school is a safe and happy place for your child, the best place for them to be is in a happy, learning environent with friends. If for any reaosn you are worried about the ongoing situation I ask that you call the school office to make an appointment to speak with me.
