Final preparations are being made to welcome the children back on Monday, teachers are finalising plans and the last set of logistics are being checked. It has been nearly three months since we were altogether as a community and I am sure, like yourselves, we are all looking forward to returning to old routines and re-establishing much missed friendships and opportunities to reconnect. Please remember that when you drop your child to school the gates will be open from 8:30am for Year 1 – 6 and from 8:40am for Nursery and Reception. I wrote to you all earlier in the week to set out our expectations for the children and I urge you to re read the letter before Monday to familiarise yourselves with their content. If for any reason you should need support please don’t hesitate to contact the school.
The word of the week is – SEQUACIOUSNESS – the blinkered, unreasoning, and slavish following of another, no matter where it leads. (17th Century)
EXAMPLES OF THE CHILDREN’S WORK THIS WEEK –
RETURN TO LEARNING – Earlier this week and late last week I wrote to you all regarding the children’s return. Click on the link to read the two letters that were sent:
SCHOOL UNIFORM (EXCHANGE) – Mrs Salter one of our Teaching Assistants will set up a uniform stall by the gated area that leads on to Allerton Road on Friday 5th Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th March from 1:30pm. She will be exchanging items of good quality second hand items for uniform which you no longer need. If you are able to make a small charitable donation we welcome your support.
WORLD BOOK DAY – Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s World Book Day. Have a look at this year’s entries –
CHICK WATCH – After two lovely weeks with the chicks we say a fond farewell to them tomorrow. The children have thoroughly enjoyed learning about their life cycle and watching them hatch.
HAVE A LOVELY WEEKEND AND WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU ALL ON MONDAY!
