Headteacher’s Newsletter – Friday 3rd March 2023 – Spring 8

I often think that the start of any month is always a time to take stock and look forward to the possibilities that lie ahead and to learn from the ones that have passed. The days are beginning to lengthen and the sun is beginning to shine once more and that has lifted everyone’s spirits again (not that we weren’t happy already!). Our World Book Day passed off incredibly well and as always I was incredibly impressed by the children and staff costumes. Some of you went to great lengths to dress up as your favourite character so thank you. The whole school wrote a story which was shared at a special assembly and the excitement levels were at a high all day. Teacher / Parent – Carer consultations take place next Wednesday and Thursday and we have Year 1 and Year 4 assemblies and workshops for families directly after. Please make every effort to attend and we look forward to seeing many of you next week.

The word of the week is – VERTUMNAL – spring like or giving a foretaste of spring, as in the early buds in the garden or the swelling of the birdsong.
