Headteacher’s Newsletter – Friday 30th June 2023 – Summer 9

The good weather continues to be with us as we head in to the last few weeks of term. Year 6  are busy rehearsing for their end of term production and we look forward to seeing them perform for the school and families in the week after next. Our boys and girls’ football team  have been in action once again this week and gave a very account of themselves in a local competition hosted by Watford FC. They were not the outright winners but gave a thoroughly good account of themselves. Thank you children. I know some of you have asked the office staff about which teacher will teach your child next year and I will write to you all next week with the arrangements about this. Please continue to support the school in all that we do.

The word of the week is – BATTOLOGY – needless and tiresome repetition in speaking or writing, often used to avoid answering the question.

WD6 FOOD SUPPORT – The WD6 Food support is open on WEDNESDAY & FRIDAYS from 3:15pm – 4:30pm. Parkside families can have access from 3:15pm directly after school.

PLEASE MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO ATTEND

UNIFORMMany of you send your child in to school in the correct uniform for which I would like to thank you; you are giving your child the right message. The expectation is that every child comes to school in uniform every day. Your child will continue to grow through the next few months and years and the fact we have arrived at the end of the school year should NOT mean that they don’t’ come to school in uniform. It is not an acceptable excuse. If you are experiencing difficulty we are here to help you. When children arrive at school in an expensive pair of trainers but not school shoes questions should be asked. If you are experiencing difficulties with uniform you must come and speak with us.
