Headteacher’s Newsletter – Friday 26th November 2021 – Autumn 12

THERE HAVE BEEN NO RECORDED CASES OF CORONAVIRUS REPORTED AT PARKSIDE COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL THIS WEEK

It is always a pleasure to welcome the school’s improvement partner to school. This morning she spent the morning reviewing the standards in Art across the school and was highly complimentary about the quality of teaching and learning she observed. The children produced some outstanding pieces of work and the teachers and support staff were very proud of their achievements. It is testament to the way the school continues to move forward in the pursuit of excellence. The children had great fun watching the films of their choice in support of the Parents and Friends Association and over £400 was raised; a tremendous amount. Thank you to everyone who bought a ticket for this event.

PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOUR CHILD COMES TO SCHOOL IN FULL SCHOOL UNIFORM INCLUDING A COAT IN THE WINTER MONTHS. ALL SCHOOL UNIFORM SHOULD BE CLEARLY LABELLED.

The word of the week is – STRUTHIOUS – resembling an ostrich; avoiding reality of pretending it doesn’t exist.

FOOD WASTE – This week there was 57.7 kgs of waste which equated to 99.6 grammes per child. Please spend some time talking to your child about the choices they make about their dinner.
