THERE HAVE BEEN NO CONFIRMED POSITIVE CASES OF CORONAVIRUS REPORTED AT PARKSIDE COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL THIS WEEK
It seems as if autumn has well and truly arrived now that Tuesdays’ equinox passed unannounced and sloped off in to the midst of time. It is very important to remember that as the days shorten and the nights lengthen, we do all we can stay fit and healthy. Hot dinners started again this week for the younger children and over the coming weeks will be rolled out across the school. We are in negotiations with Herts Cater Link about loaning of equipment whilst Vicky our cook will meet with myself and other senior leaders to discuss the logistics of serving 200 dinners across two buildings. Further details to follow. Please remember to keep fit and well over the months ahead as the cold weather takes hold. It is imperative that your child comes to school every day and on time. If you are experiencing difficulties we are always here to help in any way that we can.
The word of the week is – JARGOGLE – to confuse or jumble.
MEET THE TEACHER MEETINGS – Due to the current level of restrictions that have been placed on all schools we invite you all to look through the relevant slides on your child’s respective class pages. If you have any questions that you would like to ask your child’s class teacher please do send them an email and they will respond within 72 hours on receiving it.

DISMISSAL FOR RECEPTION CHILDREN – From Monday 28th September children in Reception classes need to be collected at 3:00pm from the gate that leads to school office on Aycliffe Road. We have made the change to avoid any unnecessary congestion and potential dangers that could happen due to the large number of children who are collected at 3:15pm from gates on Aycliffe Road.
HOT MEALS – From Monday 28th September children in the Early Years and Years 1 and 2 will be able to take a hot meal once again. Vicky our cook has worked very hard to make sure that the ordering of food will be ready and the organisation and delivery will go smoothly. We are hoping that children in Key Stage 2 will be ready to take hot meals once again from Monday 12th October or sooner if arrangements can be in place before hand. Thank you for your patience with this important matter.
