Headteacher’s Newsletter – Friday 21st May 2021 – Summer 6

Not even the weather could stop the children from enjoying the visit from the animals from the Ark Farm on Friday. They were absolutely brilliant and enjoyed the experience immensely. Teachers have planned  an exciting week of activities linked to the visit and we are all looking forward to seeing the fruits of their labour. Our thanks must go to Mrs Conley who organised the event, it really was quite spectacular. Thank you to everyone for making a concerted effort to improve our overall punctuality this week. If we really try we can make a big difference, so let’s keep this going. We have recently entered in to a new  partnership with the WD6 Food Support. They will run this very important charitable service from our spare Year 3 classroom in the KS2 building from 9th June. If you know of anyone who needs access to this service please spread the word, further details below. We look forward to the children taking part in Quidditch sessions on Tuesday and to see how high they can fly on their broomsticks! Please keep supporting the school in all that we do.

The word of the week is – PARWHOBBLE – (19th Century English dialect) – to dominate a conversation by talking continuously, without listening to a word from anyone else.
