Headteacher’s Newsletter – Friday 20th December 2019 – Autumn 14

The final day of term has arrived and we look forward to the festive break. It has been a very long term, one that has been very full with much to celebrate and enjoy. We continue to have one eye on the new year as the school heads in to an Ofsted inspection. Our journey continues in January with the beginning of a new term and the promise of more changes to come. I would like to take this opportunity of wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a peaceful New Year and on behalf of the staff I would like to thank you all for your kindness and generosity.

The word of the week – YULESTARN – a noticeably bright star that shines in the night especially on Christmas night.

YEAR 3 AND 4 CHRISTMAS CAROL CONCERT – The children sang their hearts out on Tuesday at our annual carol concert. They were well prepared by Yolanda who had previously worked with the children who appeared on Children in Need earlier in the term It was a new take on this festive tradition something which was enjoyed by all. Thank you children for performing so well, it really brought home to everyone the true meaning of Christmas.

MR WANLESS’ BLOG – Mr Wanless our Year 6 teacher regularly posts on his class page. Click on the link to read what is happening upstairs in KS2. https://parkside.herts.sch.uk/class-6/

HOT CHOCOLATE AND PARKSIDE FLYERS – Congratulations to Eldon, Cole, Barney, David, Matei, Mi’lan, Hatice, Daniella and Hatice who enjoyed a Christmas cup of hot chocolate with Mr Soyka this afternoon.
