Headteacher’s Newsletter – Friday 19th June 2020 – Summer 7

This week’s bad weather gives way to a week of glorious sunshine and long summer evenings. There is  very little shade on the field or playground so please  make sure that your child brings a hat and a water bottle with them next week. All items must be labelled with your child’s name on them. The natural rhythm of school life returned to some sort of normality this week as we welcomed back the children from Reception. It was lovely to see the children rekindling their friendships and starting to pick up where they left off with their learning. With four weeks of the academic year left there is still lots to be done. We will continue to provide packs of work for all children until the end of term. They can be collected from the gate at Allerton Road. We will continue to update with any changes as and when they are announced from the government or the county.

The word of the week is – SLOCHET – To walk with your shoes nearly coming off your feet. Or to walk with your shoelaces untied. Or to walk slowly because your shoes are too big. (SW England).
