Headteacher’s Newsletter – Friday 15th November 2019 – Autumn 10

DON’T FORGET THE SCHOOL CHOIR IS ON CHILDREN IN NEED TONIGHT AT ABOUT 8PM. DON’T FORGET TO TUNE IN!!

The children who are part of the choir are ready and primed and are looking forward to singing this evening. I am sure they will sing their hearts out and be great ambassadors for the school. Good luck children. Our thanks must go to Yolanda reaves for preparing the children for tonight’s performance. We have also had a very vibrant Friday in support of Children in Need. The children looked amazing and were resplendent in their colourful outfits. Thank you for your donations, we collected just over £270 which will be sent to the charity next week. There are a number of children who come to school without a warm coat. Please make sure that you send your child to school in these cold months with a jumper and coat.

The word of the week is – ULTRACREPIDARIAN – a person who takes every opportunity to share their opinion about things they know nothing about.

INTERNATIONAL DAY – Last we the children visited Albania, this week they took a trip to Spain, Romania, Pakistan and the British Isles. Thank you to those parents and carers who prepared food, shared different aspects of their native countries and enriched the children’s lives with a celebration of world cultures. What a wonderful community we have at our school.

YEAR 6 TO HABERDASHER’S BOYS SCHOOL – Over the past few weeks the children from Year 6 visited Haberdasher’s Boys School to deepen their knowledge about the science curriculum. The focus has been on the topic electricity. It has been a wonderful experience and great opportunity for the children, one they have benefited from enormously.
