COVID -19 Update

I wanted to write to you all now that school has reopened to give you an update on the current situation. Firstly I want to thank you for supporting the school through this most challenging of times. The work the children are submitting is of a very good standard; please keep sending in your work to your child’s class teacher, they are an inspiration to us all.

Mr Wanless is updating the school Twitter feed regularly and is even starring in his own keep fit videos with Joe Wicks so please follow the updates at: @headparkside

Mrs Matthiole the school’s Parental Engagement Officer has uploaded the information the government has requested for those families on Free School Meals who are assessed by the Benefit System. Those of you in receipt of a FSM will receive confirmation via email of your vouchers from Edenred the company the government has teamed up with to help schools through the crisis. She will also be in contact with you all tomorrow with suggestions and advice which will help families to stay positive and calm over the next few months.

Myself and Mrs Taylor will also be in regular contact with you as much as we can via phone calls or email to check that you are well and safe but also to see if there is anything the school can do to support you through this very difficult period.

Please continue to send in emails of your children’s work and support the teachers and support staff as best as you can by doing this.

I want to finish tonight’s update with a reflection.

Over the past three weeks we have been thrown in to complete turmoil and the world has changed in a way that hasn’t been seen before, yet there is one quote that has stayed with me throughout this period and will continue to keep me going over the months ahead:

“WITHOUT COURAGE ALL OTHER VIRTUES LOSE THEIR MEANING”
