#ClapForTheNHS Special Task
Good Morning Parkside,
Last night at 8pm you may have joined numerous people around the UK in a “Clap for Carers” tribute, saluting NHS and care workers dealing with the Corona virus pandemic.
I, myself stood at my front door with my 4 year old and 1 year old both clapping, of course they did not fully understand the reason behind it but the sense of community and spirit was there to be seen and I hope for my 4 year old, it will be something she remembers, more so as a time where our nation came together in what is such a difficult period. The sense of pride as a nation and the respect we have for the courageous job our NHS/Care workers are doing on a day to day basis is incredible.
Furthermore, this got me thinking about how we as Parkside could show our appreciation and I was hoping to ask if anyone… no matter what class or year group, if you think of a way of sending our thanks to the NHS.
It could be through:
- A Thank You poster
- A poem
- A letter
- A card
If you decide to do something today, could you please send it to my email, liam.wanless@parkside.herts.sch.uk and I will do my best to get it tweeted and sent across to some of our local hospitals as a sign that we are all pulling together and are immensely proud of what the NHS are doing to help our country defeat this virus.
Mr Wanless
