Today you will need to bake your recipe that you wrote out on Friday.  Collect together the ingredients you need, carefully weighing them out to ensure the finished product is perfect. Follow the step by step instructions in the method. Take great care if your recipe requires the use of an oven and finally, if possible, take photos to share with us

DT: Lesson 4 – Choose a recipe for a savoury dish. It could be mini pizzas, cheese scones, pasta bake or you may have an idea of your own.

As before, you will need to research the recipe, online or from a cookery book, and then write it out including the title, ingredients and method. Add an illustration as well if you would like to.

Our new DT topic is called ‘Cooking and Nutrition’

When cooking, it is important to evaluate the finished dish to decide what went well, if anything was difficult and most importantly if you were successful in creating something delicious. It helps if you decide to recreate the recipe to adapt it.

Today you need to complete the evaluation form for the dish you created yesterday. Was your dish healthy? Choose five of the ingredients used and check the food group wheel. Does your dish give you are a variety of nutrients or is it a treat?
