The delivery focused on how to challenge stereotyping. Children enjoyed and engaged well in the session.
Well done to the girls for keeping up the energy the whole day. They battled hard and never gave up
Attending everyday counts. Well done to year 6 for getting 96.6% for attendance and landing themselves a non school uniform day on our monopoly attendance board.
The average attendance for the week was: 93.7%
Congratulations to everyone who were awarded their wings this week for being true ambassadors of the school’s vision and mission.
Today, 4 Aspen went on their trip to Meadow Park, lots of fun and enjoyment was had by the children…and teachers.
This week saw 3 battles take place:
Well done to everyone for continuing to improve and become more fluent with their times tables. Keep an eye out for a challenge over the half term!
Also, as we come to the end of the first part of Spring term, we present Angela in Year 6 with our first Rockstar medal for being the most improved over a consistent period of time. Fantastic achievement Angela, please keep this up and continue to be a role model for the younger children of Parkside.
Last Friday, Year 2 shared their knowledge and understanding of what they learned in Science, when looking at different materials and in Geography, when learning more about the United Kingdom.
Today, it was 4 Aspen’s turn to shine and they didn’t disappoint, as their wealth of learning linked to times tables, descriptive writing, poetry, History, DT (Sewing) and Mental Health was abundant throughout.
Thank you once again to all the families/carers who came to support their children last week and this morning, we are all very proud of the children and the great community we have here at Parkside.
The children have persevered and even moved on to adapting the 3 note blues to incorporate notes of their own choice to add some individuality to the music.
