Celebration Assembly
Our weekly Friday celebration assembly gave everybody a lot to enjoy and think about.
Children in Year 1 and 2 shared with the school the excellent writing activities they had completed this week which included writing simple and complex sentences. Year 3 had put together fact files about ancient Egypt but more importantly the importance of the tomb of Tutankhamun. We were all intrigued about Year 4’s persuasive writing which demonstrated their ability to write leaflets encouraging people to visit attractions all around the country. The children in Year 5 shared their learning through the medium of multiplying fractions; no mean feat whilst the children in Year 6 used the stimulus of film (Alma) to write setting descriptions. It was fabulous to see the children talking so confidently about their work with passion and interest. Thank you.
