Upcoming World Book Day
Dear Families,
World Day is on the Thursday 6th March and to celebrate our love of reading at Parkside we would like for the children to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. The outfit can be as simple or as creative as you wish. The school will also have a number of spare costumes so please notify the school office if you should require any help with this.
We will also be launching our reading game show- The Masked Reader!
This will involve the children watching a number of mystery masked staff members reading a book and the children will have the opportunity to guess who is behind the mask. The Masked Reader videos will be sent home on the 6th March to celebrate World Book Day and the children will have until Wednesday 12th March to make their final guesses and hand them to their teacher before the big reveal in assembly! The videos will also be available on our school website in the reading section on this day.
